Mandatory Dual Credit Meeting

There will be a mandatory dual credit meeting on Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. A parent or guardian must attend. This meeting is for any sophomore or junior planning to take any dual credit courses during the 2015-2016 school year.  Linda Thomas from Carl Sandburg College will be the presenter, and she will be providing information on tuition, paying for courses, books, etc.  This is the only scheduled dual credit meeting, so even if your child is uncertain, please attend the meeting.  Please contact Mrs. Nagel if there are any questions

Faculty Member of the First Semester

Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer Waller for being selected by the students as the faculty member of the semester at AAHS. Students make their selection based on a staff member who has made a difference in their lives at AAHS. Mrs. Waller teaches freshman and sophomore level English!

November Students of the Month

Congratulations to the November students of the month. They were nominated by faculty based on the character trait, self control. Pictured are Cheyanne Dierickx, Karyssa Pedersen, Zach Glisan, and Jared Johnston.

Illinois State Scholars

Abingdon-Avon High School is proud to present the Illinois State Scholars for the class of 2015. Students that meet the criteria set by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission are granted the award. Of all the current seniors in Knox County, only 43 students met the criteria. Earning the award for Abingdon-Avon are: Tyler Allen, Kaitlin Sickles, Loren Thurman, Tresten Maxwell, and Brian Garrett.

October Students of the Month

The October students of the month were selected by faculty based on the character trait, helpfulness.  Pictured below is Sydney Anderson, Taylor Dickerson, James McGrew, and Jack Lucas.
